Top 10 Texas Hold'em Hands

It's a good idea to have a clear idea of what a top hand is and what a crap hand is.

My personal top 10 hands are
Ace Ace
King King
Queen Queen
Ace King (suited)
Jack Jack
Ace Queen (suited)
10 10
9 9
8 8
Ace King (unsuited)

You could be nice and tight and hope for only those cards to show up. Maybe one of these days I'll pull out my degree in mathematics and actually compute the best hands chart.

What are your top ten?

OK well I would like to discuss the aspect of the 10 starting hands. Since im not like the rest of you and rarely see AA or KK i need to open my game a bit.

I would like to start with AA or KK all the time but since that is not possible, lets discuss other options.

Yes AA or KK are the best hands to start with. However i would have QQ and AK basically the same. Which i will discuss later.

As for the remaing 6 hands, this is my ranking
10-10
A-Q suited
10-J suited
A-Q unsuited
10-J
8-9 suited.

The reason I tend to like these hands is the value. I personally think of it this way. I like hands that are strong hands that are easy to get away from. HUH?

AA or KK are basically played the same and are a made hand. Unless someone catches something big for example A-Q and hit queen with nothin but rags and the person is an aggreesive player your not going to make alot of money.

However, with the hands i like to play, you can catch a flop and crack someone and make more money then with AA. However, they are easy hands to get away from if you miss flop and get raised or reraised by another player.

Mix your game up and see what happens. Remember, bet to win.
